On Thursday, July 11, our entire team set out for an inspiring team-building day. It turned into a great mix of professional insights, time in nature, and culinary enjoyment.
Starting with innovation
Our day began at Movu Robotics, where we were given a fascinating look into the world of warehouse automation. As architects—working with clients who are increasingly focused on logistics efficiency—it was a particularly relevant company visit. We not only toured their impressive facilities but also gained valuable insights into the future of automated warehouses.
Lunch and a walk in De Bourgoyen
After the technological focus of the morning, we headed to Natuurpunt for a relaxed lunch. Then we put on our walking shoes for a refreshing stroll through the De Bourgoyen nature reserve, where the peace and greenery provided the perfect counterbalance to a morning filled with innovation.
One of our own projects in the spotlight
In the afternoon, we visited one of our recent projects in Moscou, Ghent. The building, currently in its final finishing phase, is a true eye-catcher. Its red façade interacts uniquely with the light, at times taking on a warm yellow or golden glow. Inside, office spaces, meeting rooms, and storage areas are combined with a restaurant, creating a vibrant mix of functions.
A culinary highlight
That restaurant is run by none other than Michelin-starred chef Danny Horseele, who has held a Michelin star for more than 35 years. We had the pleasure of ending the day with dinner at his restaurant. A delicious, refined meal overlooking the open kitchen and set in a unique atmosphere was the perfect finale to a successful day.
With renewed inspiration, strengthened team spirit, and a sense of fulfillment, we headed home—ready to return to our projects full of energy.
