In June, the opening of Port of Limburg took place—an ambitious collaboration between Group Machiels, H.Essers, MSC Medlog and Archilogic (HVC Architecten). The impressive new building and its accompanying infrastructure form the heart of a strategic inland waterway hub, designed to make logistics connections in the region smarter, greener and more efficient.

With the commissioning of Port of Limburg, an important step has been taken toward greater sustainability. Thanks to its prime location and modern facilities, more freight can be transported by water, contributing to lower CO₂ emissions and reduced pressure on the road network.

During the official opening, collaboration and progress took center stage. “This project is the result of the joint efforts of many parties. Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who contributed to achieving this milestone,” the initiators stated.

Port of Limburg now looks ahead to a future where smart logistics, sustainability and connectivity go hand in hand.
